Hotels near norco ca9/24/2023 Housekeeping entered my room when I went out for the day, moved items around, and disposed of things I didn't want to be thrown away. No channel guide to the TV and no option to view a channel menu so you spend all time flipping to find exactly what you want. Obviously not cleaned since the last stay at least. Upon inspection, I found lots of hair and fake eyelashes down the drain. First, the doors to the rooms were extremely heavy and would slam whenever they shut, there was no mechanism to close them slowly so all I heard all night was doors slamming up and down the hall. One even gave me a 50%+ discount on my Suite Shop purchase for having to wait to checkin. Really the only two qualities I liked about this hotel was the bed was nice and the front desk staff my first night was very friendly. Why can’t people do the right thing? I just hope that this same thing doesn’t happen to the person that has my $5 nail file.… Yes, it’s only a $5 nail fine…BUT…it was given to me by my best friend right before she passed away in January 2019 with Coronavirus. Manager stated that if they find it, he would call us back. No call back, so we made a call at 7:10, explained what had happened. The gentleman on the phone stated that he was new and would tell the manager, which would be in at 7am. We were on the road, less than 1 hour, and called the front desk to ask if they could go into the room and retrieve my $5 nail file. I packed up and we left after handing in the hotel key. We needed to leave very early to get on the road for a 9 hour long drive (didn’t get a lot of sleep). I meant to pick it up right away, but got busy trying to get ready. I took a shower and noticed that my $5 nail file was laying on the floor (under my bag that was sitting on the luggage chair & next to the safe). Unbelievable how people are in today’s world. These folks should learn what customer service is, but i doubt by their looks and snide remarks(They thought we couldnt hear) i bet they wont. After a call to Hilton home service line, and Hiltons call to the hotel, we had our charges reversed and a new booking at a different property. The fact that they authorized it with confirmation was irrelevant. Front staff dug in their heels and refused based on "Policy says no changes /no refunds. the booking was non refund/no changes which we were ready to accept if they had said no, but they said they would and sent us a confirmation for our stay. We have an email with the name of the person who authorized it, they knew her by name, and still refused to honot their commitment. upon arrival, the front desk said we were a day late, the reservation was cancelled and the room charged. The staff at the hotel said she would authorized a manual change in the system for our stay. immediately called 3rd party site to attempt to change. 5 min after booking, realized date was off by one day. We had a 1 night reservation from a 3rd party site.
